Margao police has identified the person who was stabbed in his chest at the Margao station road on Monday evening as one Mohammed Ibrahim, a native of Udupi-Karnataka.
The whereabouts of the accused person, who stabbed him with a knife below his left side chest region, remains unknown.
Police said the duo was engaged in a quarrel which culminated in the stabbing of the victim. The police have registered a FIR under section 118(2) of BNS 2023.
