The programme is catalyses and supported by National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Government of India.
Goa had been organising programmes under this project for the last two decades before fading away in the last few years, as a result many students missed a platform to showcase their scientific skills.
The aim of the programme is to give children in the age group of 10-17 years from all over the country an opportunity to use their scientific temperament and knowledge to make their own dreams come true. The programme was initiated in 1993.
The selected awardees will be sponsored for National Children Science Congress which is held every year from December 27 to 31 at selected venues.
