Hundreds of staff posted on election duty on Sunday collected Electronic Voting Machines, Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail machines and other material from Shyamaprasad Mukherjee stadium, Bambolim for North Goa and Navelim stadium for South Goa and headed towards their respective polling booths across 40 constituencies in the State.

As per the final electoral roll as on January 28, 2022, the total voters registered in the State of Goa are 11,64,522 of which 5,66,531 are males, 5,97,982 are females and 9 are transgender.

There are 78 overseas voters and 298 service voters. In all 9,590 voters are persons with disabilities (PwD) and 29,797 voters are above 80 plus years of age.
