Steer those who err in govt: Vijai at World Yoga Fest

PONDA

Encouraging people to be vigilant and to ensure that the government is going forward, TCP Minister and Goa Forward Party supremo Vijai Sardessai on Thursday evening advised them to “steer’ those who commit mistakes.

Sardessai was speaking at the ‘World Yoga Festival’ organised by Tapobhumi at Kundaim. Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar, Housing Minister Jayesh Salgaonkar, Brahmeshanand Swami, Adv. Brahmiji, Dilip Kumar Thakpapan, Mahamandaleshwar Sivananda Saraswatiji, Guru Anand Vitrarang (USA), Yogi Ashutoshji (Delhi), Swami Yatidharmanandji (Odisha), Dr. Gopalchand, Mohammad Imran Ali (Dubai) and other spiritual leaders were present on the occasion.

“While practicing yoga, people must be vigilant to see if the government is going forward or anywhere else, irrespective of the government. If they don’t think along these lines, then the government can sometimes stray away. But those committing mistakes should be steered and if we do any mistakes, then steer us,” Sardessai said.

“It is good that the World Yoga Festival started from Goa. Yoga creates a union between mind, body and soul, thereby helping us become good persons,” he added.

Jayesh Salgaonkar and Madkaikar also spoke on the occasion.

“Yoga should not be a formality, but we should spare some time for it. Yoga is spreading across world and we should know the importance of yoga,” Madkaikar said. ‘World yoga festival 2018 will be celebrated from February 1 to 4. This event has been organised in association with ‘International Sadguru Foundation’ (India), ‘World Yoga Community’ (USA) and Goa Tourism Development Corporation.
