Stolen temple fund box found
BICHOLIM: Dodamarg and Bicholim Police recovered the fund box of Shri Laxmi Venktesh Devasthan, Nanora-Bicholim, which was stolen about eight months ago.
According to the devasthan mahajans, the fund box was found in the jungle area and the matter was intimated to the Bicholim Police.
It may be recalled that burglars had stolen the fund box of Laxmi Narayan Devasthan, Nanora, by breaking open the locks of the temple and the investigation was in progress. Some devasthan members found the fund box in the nearby forest area on Wednesday.
HC Madhukar Gawas attached to Dodamarg Police station took the fund box into his custody.
Further investigations are in progress under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
