Sudan is Chopdem dy sarpanch
PERNEM: Sudan Shetye was elected unopposed as deputy sarpanch of Agarwaddo-Chopdem Panchayat on Friday.
Panch Prabhakar Nagvekar proposed the candidature of Shetye and Sarpanch Damaji seconded it.
Sarpanch Damaji, Panchas Suman Khorjuvekar, Eknath Chodankar, Sudan Shetye, Bhagirath Gaonkar, Prabhakar Nagvekar and Sitaram Raut were present for the special meeting convened in the panchayat hall.
Chandrahas Dessai from Pernem BDO was the observer for the election. He was assisted by panchayat secretary Ramesh Pokhre.
