Suicide at Dabolim
VASCO: A resident of Pixem Dongri in Dabolim allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his room on Monday afternoon.
According to reports, Vasco Police received a call at about noon stating that a body was found hanging in his house. PSI Nikhil Palekar along with other police personnel rushed to the site and conducted the investigation.
The police said during investigation, the family members revealed that the deceased, Sadik Shaik, was a chronic alcoholic and was mentally disturbed.
Police added that the body was sent for autopsy and preservation at TB Hospital in Margao and Vasco PSI Yeshvant Mandrekar is investigating the case.
