Jayesh Salgaonkar: I have sincerely served the people of Saligao constituency to the best of my ability and people have appreciated my work, accessibility and approach. Voters of Saligao feel I should be given one more term to complete some ambitious projects and bring more sustainable development in Saligao.
TG: If you are part of the government, which is the first legislation you would like to pass in the Assembly?
JS: I will try to bring in legislation that will ensure support and protection and encouragement to our local businesses.
TG: Which is that one leader outside your party that you admire as a politician, and why?
JS: Not answered.
TG: Who would be your chief ministerial choice, should your party come into power?
JS: Pramod Sawant will be my choice for chief minister.
TG: Do you justify a merger by 2/3rd or do you consider it as a move against the mandate of people? Explain.
JS: Strict legislation should be passed against defections. Necessary amendments should be passed to strengthen the anti-defection law.
TG: Do you feel that the 2022 election will throw a clear winner? Who are your top three finishers along with seats they are likely to win.
JS: Yes, BJP will get a clear mandate. Goa needs a stable government to bring about infrastructure development and human development and only BJP can do it with the BJP government at the Centre -- The Double Engine Sarkar.
