Survey of fallow lands
PANAJI: Th government has approved the proposal for conducting the survey of fallow lands in Goa in accordance with the budget assurance.
Directorate of Agriculture has signed a contract with National Bureau of Soil survey and Land use Planning, Nagpur, Maharashtra and field survey staff will be deployed in all talukas expect for Quepem & Sattari, to undertake work of fallow land verification and land resources inventory for preparing land Use Plan for the State. The work will start immediately and continue till March 31. Public, farmers, local institutions, local bodies and govt departments are requested to cooperate.
