Prescribed liquor quantity for VP by-polls
PANAJI: The prescribed maximum quantity of liquor which can be transported from one place to another within the jurisdiction of wards VI, II,VII and VI in Camurlim, Majorda-Utorda-Calata, Kundaim and Surla respectively or which can be possessed by any person without a permit from March 3 and March 6, and on the day of counting - March 8, during the by elections to these wards have been notified.
Three quart bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor or foreign liquor other than beer and six bottles of beer for any person including his family, and three quart bottles of country liquor for any person including his family.
This notification will remain in force only on March 5 and March 6, and on March 8.

DRY DAYS DURING BYE ELECTIONS IN VPS

The Government, has directed that all licensed premises “for the sale of liquor” and “ consumption of liquor in the public places” located within the jurisdiction of ward VI ,II,VII,VI located in the Village Panchayats of Camurlim, Majorda Utorda- Calata, Cundalim and Surla will be closed from March 5, 2016 & March 6, 2016 and the day of counting i.e. on March 8, 2016, in view of Bye- elections to 04 vacant wards of 04 different Village Panchayats.
The licensed premises having licence for “ Bar and Restaurant” may be allowed to keep the restaurant open for serving food only. However, the Bar counter should be closed and no liquor shall be allowed to serve on the said days. The owners of the license premises having “Bar & Restaurant” should also display a board in the premises that no liquor will be served and that the restaurant will be open for serving food only.
