The cat had gone missing from the apartment of Dipesh Raikar around Friday last and there was no sign of the Persian cat spotted in the neighbourhood since then. On Monday, a neighbour of Dipesh spotted the cat on a coconut tree through his window and immediately intimated the episode to
the owner.
A team of fire services rushed to Pajifond around noon and rescued the cat from the coconut tree before
handing the same to its rightful owner.
Dipesh thanked the fire services for their kind gesture of rescuing the cat, adding that the rescue has indeed given a new lease of life for the missing cat.
