Unknown miscreants burgled the Temple at the mouth of river Sal on the Betul side last night and decamped with cash from the donation box.
The residents found the donation box tampered with and the cash missing from the box.
They pointed out that the Temple was the target of miscreants some time ago when the bells were stolen from the premises.
The residents have demanded that the panchayat and other authorities impose restriction in the timings for visitors to the area, including the Betul fort. They pointed out that youth are seen in the area at late hours and demanded action.
