Goa airport at Dabolim on Sunday witnessed tense moments after around 70 passengers confronted with the staff of an airline over cancellation of flight from Goa to Indore.
Sources said that the flight was supposed to depart from Goa airport at around 8 pm on Sunday but the passengers received a message on Saturday that the flight was rescheduled and preponed and would leave at around 4.30 pm from Goa airport. Sources added that the passengers entered the airport and were even given ticket and boarding pass for check-in.
However, the passengers said that the airlines official later said that the flight was having a technical glitch and there was no further communication till the passengers began questioning the authorities at around 9 pm.
While the airlines later announced the cancellation of the flight, the passengers who were frustrated by waiting for the flight for around 5 hours began raising their voice. Passengers said that the airlines later told the passengers that they would have to take care of any stay or food at their own that later led to shouting of slogans against the airlines.
