Thousands of people lined up at the SGPDA ground, the parking lot in front of the Margao KTC bus stand the Collectorate, the catering centres designated during the Viksit Bharat Viksit Goa rally on Tuesday.
The sprawling SGPDA ground, which was tarred just two days ago, played host to thousands of people who lined up for lunch ahead of the Viksit rally.
A total of three caterers were appointed to serve lunch for the massive crowed at the PDA ground. Still, one could find crowd of people in a queue even past 2 pm, with sources saying that a local caterer wound up serving food at around 3.30 pm.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also made his presence felt near the catering centre to ensure that all the people were served lunch by the caterers.
