Tiatr Day at KA on Apr 17
PANAJI: Kala Academy Goa and Tiatr Academy of Goa in collaboration with Times of India will jointly organise Tiatr Day celebration on April 17, from 5.30 pm at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji. Minister for Art & Culture, Dayanand Mandrekar, will be the chief guest while Deputy Speaker and chairman of Kala Academy Vishnu Surya Wagh will preside over the function. MLAs Benjamin Silva, Siddharth Kunkolienkar, TAG president Agostinho Temudo and Sushant Khedekar, will be guests of honour.
A get together and tea party of invites and artists will be arranged on the lawn of Kala Academy from 4.30 pm to 5.15 pm followed by Tiatr Day function. Six senior Goan tiatr artistes - Tita Pretto, Caetaninho D’Souza, Antonio Menino Pacheco, Sharon Mazarello, Jose Luis Diogo Fernandes alias Danny of Ribandar and Simon Caiado will be feted for their contribution to tiatr.
Prize distribution of the 14th Cantaram competition will also be held. A new tiatr 'Aplem Lipoitat Dusreanchem Dhuitat' by comedian Agustino will be staged.
