Timely completion of Sanquelim govt college works sought

PANAJI

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has directed the Sports Authority of Goa and the Public Works Department to expedite the completion of the playground’s rooftop work at Government College, Sanquelim.  

During an extensive review of various projects at the college on Monday, the CM insisted on the timely completion and efficient management of infrastructure projects.  

Besides the playground rooftop work, he also reviewed the progress of the new postgraduate block and called for immediate action to complete pending works at the Veerangana hostel for girls.  

Sawant further stressed the need for regular cleaning, upkeep, and efficient operation of the hostel canteen. Discussions also centred on enhancing placement opportunities for students and ensuring their safety and security on the campus.  

“Strengthening the infrastructure of educational institutions along with the academic environment is our commitment to nurture the students for a bright future,” he said after the review, where he was accompanied by Education Secretary Prasad Lolayekar, Director of Education Bhushan Sawaikar, and others from the concerned departments.
