Trio injured in accident at Aquem

MARGAO: Two persons and a woman were injured in a collision between two scooters reported at Aquem on June 26.

According to Margao town police, the accident occurred near the railway station, Aquem, when the Activa scooter driven by one Mohammed, a resident of Curtorim, collided with another scooter driven by one Rupesh, a resident of Rumdamol, on which his mother as riding pillion. All three were injured in the accident.

Margao town police have registered an offence under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC.

Colva house looted

MARGAO: Unidentified persons effected entry into the house of a woman residing at Per-Seraulim, Colva and made good their escape with cash and some electronic items.

According to Colva police, the theft occurred on June 29, t Per-Seraulim, at the house of a relative of the complainant, one Maria.

Entry into the house was gained by removing the tiles of the roof. In the incident a mobile phone worth Rs 2000, cash of Rs 5000 and an LPG gas cylinder were stolen.

Colva police have registered an offence under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC. Further investigation is in progress.
