Tuem hospital bldg inspected
PERNEM: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has said the Tuem hospital will be linked to GMC Hospital to ensure better facilities to the people of Pernem taluka.
Parsekar along with Panaji MLA Siddarth Kuncolienkar and others inspected the construction work of Tuem hospital. The extension work of the 50-bedded hospital is being taken up at a cost of Rs 52 crore and 80 per cent of the work is completed.
Speaking to reporters, Parsekar said the Tuem hospital will be significant as it would be “linked to the GMC and will provide many facilities to Pernem taluka, as compared to city hospitals.”
"Other projects that will be taken up include the extension of Tuem Industrial Estate, Mopa international airport and Tuem IT project,” he said.
MLA Kuncolienkar, Tuem Sarpanch Prajakta Kannaik, Deputy Sarpanch Vilasini Naik, former ZP member Deepak Kalangutkar and others were present during the inspection.
