MARGAO: In a tragic incident, two minors, a girl from Quepem and boy from Chinchinim, were found dead on the Konkan railway tracks at Sarzora in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The duo, believed to be friends, was run over by the Kucheveli-Mumbai train at around 6 am, the Konkan railway police informed. Their mutilated bodies were recovered by the Konkan railway police and sent to the Goa Medical College, Bambolim for post mortem examination. The autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday.
Investigating officer, PSI Vinayak Patil informed that the death of the minor boy and girl, aged 17 years, were informed to the police by the Margao railway station master. “We have not found any note from the deceased, but it appears from our preliminary inquiry, that the boy and girl have ended their lives.
