Muneer Mattur (36) from Haveri-Karnataka but residing at Rajwado-Mapusa has been arrested on charges of stealing a parked two-wheeler near Natekar Pharmacy, here.
According to Mapusa police, the theft had taken place on January 12, when the complainant, Laxman Ugvekar of Bicholim, parked his two-wheeler in an open parking place at near Natekar Pharmacy, Mapusa.
When he returned a few minutes later, the vehicle was nowhere to be found. After that, a complaint was lodged with the police.
Mapusa police had formed teams and Mattur was seen near the Axis Bank in Mapusa on Friday.
Mapusa police nabbed the accused, and later placed him under arrest. Mapusa HC Keshav Naik is investigating the case under supervision of PI Nikhil Palekar, DySP Sandesh Chodankar and SP North Akshat Kushal.
