Ukraine nationals, who are currently in Goa, held a peaceful protest near the Panaji church on Friday condemning Russia's attack.

The Ukrainians also demanded that the Indian Government should give refugee status to Ukrainians in India so that they can stay longer.

The protestors demanded that India should act as a mediator to stop the war.

"Our relatives in Ukraine are living in fear, they tell us about the bombings they hear", said a lady Ukraine national.

She said that there are around 400-600 Ukrainians living in Goa since the lockdown.

"Many Ukrainians have married in Goa and are staying in Goa," she said.

She demanded that the Indian Government should give refugee status to Ukrainians in India so that they can stay in Goa longer.

"We request the Indian Government to help us in all possible ways," she said.

Meanwhile, the crowd of foreigners, that had gathered at Arambol beach to celebrate beach Carnival, gave a strong message of 'more love no war'.
