Urban SHG mela at Margao
PANAJI: The Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) will be holding a three-day urban self help group mela from March 8 to 10, under National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) programme at Lohia Maidan, Margao. A State-level fancy dress competition for women will be held in two groups (10 to 16 years and from 18 to 60 years) on March 9, from 4 pm to 6 pm.
As part of International Women’s Day five lady chairpersons - from Margao, Cuncolim, Canacona, Ponda and Pernem will be honoured by Deputy Chief Minister Adv Francis D’Souza. Director of Municipal Administration Elvis Gomes will also be present.
For entry in fancy dress competition interested may call Celsa Antao. Spot entries will also be accepted till noon on March 9.
