Valpoi local dies of injuries

VALPOI: A 45-year-old man succumbed to injuries on Saturday after he was involved in a road accident at Valpoi the previous night.

According to Valpoi PI Sanjay Dalvi, the accident occurred at around 10 pm, when a scooter rider Vinayak Bandekar of Valpoi, while overtaking a rickshaw at Mauxi-Sattari, dashed against the rickshaw.

He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to GMC hospital at Bambolim, where he breathed his last on Saturday. Police later handed over the body to relatives for final rites.
