The Vasco Railway Station has been awarded for being the best maintained major station of Hubballi division of South Western Railway for the year 2017-18.
The efficiency shield was presented on Saturday by Divisional Railway Manager, Hubballi during the annual railway week celebrations.
The station was selected twice earlier for the same award, including the best maintained among the whole of south western railway in the recent past.
Speaking to media, Vasco Railway Station Manager P C Chacko informed that this was the third award bagged by Vasco Railway station during his tenure.
“It is a proud moment for me and everyone associated with this railway station,” said station manager Chacko.
“I thank all my staff and people who have helped us achieve this award. This is the third award by the Vasco Railway Station during my tenure,” he added.
