Water shortage in 2 Valpoi wards

While water supply to Murmune village in Guleli was restored on Wednesday, two wards in Valpoi town have now been hit by water shortage since the last two days.
Water shortage in Wards 5 and 6 have caused severe hardships and local councillors reported the matter to the Water Supply office in Valpoi.
Water is now being supplied by tankers to the affected areas but residents claimed the water supplied by tankers is insufficient and have demanded the early resumption of water supply through taps.
Ward 5 Councillor Sheikh Faizal said there has been water shortage for the last two days, while Ward 6 Councillor Sarfaraz Syed asked the PWD to attend to the problem with urgency.
