Tender floated for 50-bedded AYUSH hospital at Velguem

PANAJI
Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has invited online bids under two bid system from eligible contractors and agencies for the construction of 50-bedded integrated AYUSH hospital at Velguem, Bicholim. The project cost has been pegged at Rs 20.08 crore.

The bidders have been called upon to consider completion of the project within 18 months, including the monsoon.

The tender document states that the last time and date for receipt of pre-bid queries is 3 pm on December 27 while the last time and date for submission of tenders is 3 pm on January 11, 2022.

The tenders will be opened by GSIDC on January 13 after 3.30 pm.

As per the minimum technical eligibility criteria, bidders should have valid registration for e-tendering with GSIDC. The bidder should have, in the last seven years ending November 30, 2021, successfully completed as a prime contractor at least one similar work of value not less than Rs 16.07 crore or two similar works each of value not less than Rs 12.05 crore or three similar works each of value not less than Rs 8.04 crore. The term “similar work” refers to any single multi-story building with RCC framed structure.

On the other hand, the financial eligibility criteria requires the bidders to have an average annual turnover of at least Rs 6.03 crore in the last three consecutive financial years.

Alongside these requirements, the bidder is also expected to have a solvency of not less than Rs 8.04 crore from a nationalised or scheduled bank.

It may be recalled that the foundation stone for the 50-bedded integrated AYUSH Hospital at Velguem, Bicholim was laid at the hands of former chief minister Manohar Parrikar on March 8, 2019, in the presence of Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik and three MLAs.

Sawant has since risen to the chair of Chief Minister.

With the Assembly polls drawing closer with every passing day, CM Sawant appears to have shifted gears on his home turf of Sankhali constituency. This project is among the many that has been brought back to life and light after being in the cold storage for a few years since announcement.
