Will approach CVC on tur dal issue, threatens Sardesai

CANACONA

Goa Forward Party President Vijay Sardesai has threatened to go to court and the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on the Tur Dal scandal, claiming that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is trying to make officers scapegoats for the incident.
“I have information that Dal was procured following a cabinet decision. If that is so, it means Chief Minister is himself involved in this and so is (then civil supplies minister) Govind Gaude. Now, they are trying to make a scapegoat of officers for their sins. We have all the papers and we will take the matter to Court and the CVC,” said Sardesai, while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his visit to the Shree Mallikarjun Temple Shrishthal on the occasion of Shravan Somvar.
“Ravi Naik now says the Tur Dal is unfit to be consumed by animals. Then, how was it ordered for human consumption? When people suffered for want of food during Covid time, why it was not allowed for public distribution,” asked Sardesai.
He claimed to have exposed a number of BJP's scams during the curtailed assembly session.
“People can anticipate the quantum of scams and scandals of this government had the assembly session been longer,” he added.

‘Majority of Congress in hands of BJP’
CANACONA: Describing the Congress as jumping jacks, Goa Forward Party President Vijay Sardesai said a majority in the Congress are in the hands of BJP.
Asked to comment if people could trust him especially since he had cornered the government in the recent Assembly session, Sardesai shot back: “Why not? People can always place their faith in me and my capability to expose this BJP government. Distrust happens only if you jump to the other side and I am not on the list of Jumping Jacks, the Congress is!”
“No one can trust the Congress and a majority in the Congress party are in the hands of BJP. On the floor of the house, a minister told me “one is with you, the other one is with us.” Buying the opposition is the present BJP government’s agenda,” he added.
