Winter session begins today; discussion on TCP Act likely

The fourth session of the seventh Legislative Assembly will begin at 11:30 am on December 13 and is scheduled to sit for four days, the last being Monday, December 18 before being adjourned sine die.
The session is expected to deliberate four bills two of which are crucial bills of the Town and Country Planning Department to amend the Town and Country Planning Act as promised by TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai.
In view of the assembly session, the Superintendent of Police(SP), North Goa has ordered that no person or class of persons will convene or collect as an assembly. They will not take out any procession or stage any demonstration on the road, street or through fare and will not hold public meetings in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Porvorim and Panaji from December 13.
Processions, morchas, rallies, dharnas etc. will not be allowed within the radius of 500mts around the Assembly Complex and area under Panaji Police Station as promulgated under section 144 CrPC by the District Magistrate, North Goa.
