A man has been accused of having forcible sexual relationship with a woman.
Porvorim Police said the 27-year-old woman filed a complaint at the Porvorim police station stating that the accused from Alto-Porvorim had developed a relationship with her and under the pretext of false promises of marriage had forcible sexual relationship with her at different places.
He had also physically assaulted and abused her, the complainant said.
The woman said the accused had failed to keep his promise of marriage.
Acting on the complaint, Porvorim police registered offences against the accused under Sections 376, 323, 504 and 420 of IPC and Police Inspector V Karpe is investigating the case.
