PANAJI
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said women and young voters will be decisive in the Panaji bypoll verdict, weaving his argument around the fact that women outnumber their male counterparts by nearly a 1000 in the 22,000-odd strong electorate.
Sawant expressed confidence that women and youth will tilt the balance in favour of the BJP candidate over
others.
The CM also mocked the Congress candidate Atanasio Monserrate for his statement about giving one government job in each family.
“Monserrate should make it clear how many jobs he has provided in St Cruz and Taleigao constituencies which he represented earlier,”
Sawant said.
He also targeted the Goa Suraksha Manch saying the party which was formed over the language issue cannot succeed in politics.
“GSM candidates will never be elected in any election in the future,” he said.
