Sattari BDO Suryajirao Rane on Tuesday advised administrators appointed to all 12 panchayats in Sattari to ensure that public works are not hampered and to cooperate with the people in their respective areas.
Interacting with all 12 administrators at a meeting in his office, Rane guided them on various aspects of handling affairs in the panchayats.
“Panchayats are an important foundation for rural development and people rely on panchayats for various services. Special care should be taken to ensure that their work is not hindered at the panchayat level,” Rane informed the administrators.
He also appealed to them to be present in every panchayat as per their schedule and provide good service to the people.
Later when contacted, Rane said all the administrators appointed in Sattari taluka had taken over charge of their respective panchayats.
“We have instructed the administrators to cooperate with the people in panchayat affairs,” said Rane.
The various administrators appointed are Ganesh Gaonkar (Pissurlem Panchayat), Yogesh Sawant (Nagargaon Panchayat), Gurudas Gokhale (Mauxi Panchayat), Jayram Harwalkar (Khotoda Panchayat), Aziz Shah (Thane Panchayat), Santosh Lad (Bhironda Panchayat), Rajesh Arlekar (Guleli Panchayat), Rajesh Dalvi (Honda Panchayat), Zilbarao Desai (Morle Panchayat), Laxman Naik (Parye Panchayat), Chandan Naik (Keri Panchayat) and Pawan Varak (Savarde Panchayat).
Aziz Shah, who has been appointed as administrator of Thane Panchayat, said he would strive to create better facilities for the people, while Pissurlem Panchayat Administrator Ganesh Gaonkar assured to address various problems in the village.
Nagargaon Panchayat Administrator Yogesh Sawant stated that efforts would be made to handle the panchayat administration affairs by taking former panchas into confidence.
