Workshop on rose petals held
BICHOLIM: Director of Agriculture Science Centre (floriculture division) Old Goa, Dr Safina has asked women to come forward and participate in all fields of activity.
She was addressing a workshop on the art of preparing different items from dried rose petals. The workshop was organised by Surla Farming Co-operative Society at Siddheshwar Navdurga temple hall, Kadchal-Surla, Bicholim. Surla Farming Co-operative Society president Navanath Surlakar, secretary Manohar Volvoikar and Bhavesh Sonnaik were present.
Bhavesha Sonnaik gave details of different programmes organised by the Agriculture Science Centre Surla for the development of women.
On the occasion, women were given training on preparing different items from dried rose petals. Dr Safina also distributed free plant saplings to the women on the occasion.
