Workshops held at Vasco
VASCO: JCI MPT in association with Ravindra Bhavan Vasco, conducted a workshop for the higher secondary students from different higher secondary schools in Vasco and Sancoale.
The workshop was conducted on the occasion of National Science Day on February 28, as a mark of respect to the great scientist of India C V Raman.
The topics covered were entrepreneurship in science by Bhamaikar from CIBA, scientific temper by Somu Rao and solid waste management using science by Baylon Gomes from Bavish.
More than 120 students attended the workshop.
In the evening, a workshop was conducted for school students in the age group between of 10-15 years on astronomy. A basic presentation of 45 minutes was given to the students with actual sighting of planets and stats.
The workshop was held in association with Friends of Astronomy, states a press note.
