Stating that the BJP should be more concerned about Goans and not Jindal or Adani, AAP said governments had changed in Goa from Congress to BJP but public grievances had remained the same.
“The BJP State government is spending Rs 1.4 lakh for every person and yet people don't get proper facilities. If the public does not get proper facilities where does this money go," asked AAP State Convenor Rahul Mhambre, while addressing a meeting at the Bhumika Betal temple premises in Paliem-Pernem in the presence of Mandrem AAP leader Adv Prasad Shahapurkar.
He also drew attention to former CM late Manohar Parrikar’s rejection of the SWR double-tracking and said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was misleading the people.
“The chief minister is hell-bent on turning Goa into a coal hub," said Mhambre.
AAP also distributed a questionnaire to those present at the meeting and the locals responded favourably to the questionnaire and later registered their names with AAP to participate in further electricity awareness campaigns.
Adv Prasad Shahapurkar, who also spoke at the meeting, said AAP demanded that the government provide free electricity to Goans.
He informed that similar meetings would be conducted in Mandrem, Parcem and Tuem.
