Wrong interpretation of buffer area, claims TCP minister

TCP Minister Vishwajeet Rane said that his cabinet colleague has wrongly interpreted the buffer zone issue and the buffer area for the Bainguinim waste treatment plant was shown within the acquired area.

“With reference to issue raised by Babush with regards to granting of permissions to buildings in the vicinity of Bainguinim waste treatment plant, I would like to mention that the said Regional Plan identified the buffer area within the acquired area itself and area beyond the acquired land was not shown as buffer area,” Rane said in a tweet.

He said it was wrongly mentioned that the Regional Plan had identified 500 mts around the said facility as buffer area.
