A group of youngsters, including seaman Dixon Vaz, have come out in support of three-time Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco to don the mantle of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president.
Addressing the media, Dixon pointed out though he is not a member of any political party, he is looking forward to Reginaldo being appointed the president of the Congress party following the vacancies created in the Congress following the resignation of Shantaram Naik.
“As a young voter, I am looking at a situation wherein young leaders such as Reginaldo is elevated to the post of GPCC president,” Dixon said.
Saying that Reginaldo has been non corrupt, honest and a fighter for Goem and Goemkarponn, Dixon requested Goan youth to support the three-time Congress MLA, saying this message should go to the Congress leadership.
“A question may come why only Reginaldo for the top Congress post. We have seen him taking up issues dear to the heart of Goans. He has been the voice of the people of Goa,” he said, adding that the Congress leadership should mete out justice for the three-time Congress MLA by appointing him as the State Congress president.
