Saligao police arrested Joshua Naidu (19) of Sangolda on charges of kidnapping a 17-year-old girl and rescued the victim from from Solapur-Maharashtra.
According to reports, the victim’s father had filed a complaint with police on June 9, claiming that his minor daughter had been kidnapped by the suspect.
The police began a search for the suspect and a police team under the guidance of Saligao Police Inspector Milind Bhuinbar nabbed him in Solapur-Maharashtra, while also rescuing the girl.
The police have registered a case against the suspect under the BNS and the Goa Juvenile Act.
The suspect has been remanded in police custody for 6 days by the Mapusa court.
