Zindagi Goa, a state-level network for people living with HIV AIDS in Goa in association with NGOs Humsaath Trust, Vasco Muslim Social Trust, JCI Vasco, Real Way observed World AIDS Day 2018 at Vasco in front of Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC).
More then 200 participants attended the program and MMC Councilor Saifulla Khan was the Chief Guest.
Director of Zindagi Goa Mahesh Govekar, Director of Humsaath Trust Lal Baig, President of Vasco Muslim Social Trust Hassan Khan, Sneha Chari JCI Vasco, Executive Director of Real way Vinila Daina, project officer Goa state AIDS Control Society Shaista Shaikh, President of Prem self help group Renuka, Kiran Borkar and Sudeep Khorjuvekar were present for the occasion.
Talking on this year’s theme ‘Know your HIV status’, Mahesh Govekar explained the work of Zindagi Goa and how they are working with the HIV people to keep them healthy and strong to live a long life. He also spoke about services of AIDS Control Society which works, with the help of other NGOs, to prevent HIV cases. The program was followed by a candle lighting program.
A few documentaries were shown to those present and the program ended with a vote of thanks from Govekar.
