The Madhya Pradesh based company’s bid is 19% lower than the estimated cost of ` 697 crore to build the 8-lane cable stayed Zuari bridge.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had floated a tender requesting proposals from eligible contractors to construct the Zuari bridge at an estimated cost or ` 676 crore including approaches on October 06, 2015. The work will be completed within a period of three

years and maintain the bridge and the approach roads they construct for a period of
96 months.
According to the tender document “the scope of work will broadly include construction of a 4+4 lane cable stayed bridge across the River Zuari of 640m and elevated approach 4+4 lane for a length of 450m and maintenance of the project during the defect liability period which shall be eight years.”
The letter of award will be issued a whole 40 days after the opening of the financial bid. Signing of the agreement will be held within two weeks after the letter of award is issued. On August 21, the an eight lane cable stayed Zuari bridge had received Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC)
approval.
