Checking both hands for a quarantine stamp of people visiting Mall de Goa is one of the many Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) the stores at the mall in Porvorim, will have to follow to check the spread of Covid.
“Any guests having the quarantine stamp should not be allowed inside the mall,” Dr Roshan Nazareth informed.
The health officials along with the stores in Mall de Goa, Porvorim, held a review of the SOPs to be followed at the mall.
A total of 58 store owners and their staff attended the meeting held at the food court in Mall de Goa.
Addressing the owners and the staff, the Candolim Primary Health Centre Health Officer Dr Roshan Nazareth informed that all managers were responsible to submit daily reports to the management.
Besides keeping two-metre distance between the guests and colleagues, store managers have been asked to take action against people/staff showing symptoms of Covid.
Testing of all staff will be done at the Candolim PHC and any suspected positive staff has to be disclosed to the management of the mall.
“No staff will be allowed to be taken on duty if any family member has carried out a swab test or if the staff has done a test until the report is out,” Dr Nazareth informed and added that 17 days quarantine was mandatory for all positive staff.
The health officials also warned that if any store fails to follow the guidelines will be asked to close down till rectification.
