The Pramod Sawant-led administration on Friday carried out a significant reshuffle of senior police officers including some police station in-charges.
Thirteen Police Inspectors (PIs) have been transferred with Sagar Ekoskar being shifted from Valpoi to the Maina Curtorim Police Station (PS). Police Inspector Harish Gawas will replace Ekoskar at the Valpoi police station.
Police Inspector Pravin Gawas has been posted to the Sanguem Police Station, Ramesh Shirodkar has been posted to the Traffic Cell, Panaji, Somnath Mahajik to the Special Branch at the Police Headquarters and Sachin Panalkar to the Police headquarters at Panaji.
Dattaram Raut will now head the Old Goa police station from where Krishna Sinari has been moved and posted at the Coastal Security Police Station.
Senior police inspector Wilson D’Souza has been shifted to the Special Branch at Panaji and Rajesh Kumar to the Terekhol Coastal Security PS.
Cuncolim police station gets a new Station House Officer in Gurudas Kadam as does Colva police station with Tukaram Chawan taking charge there.
Police inspectors Therron D’Costa and Sachin Narvekar have been shifted to the Crime Branch at Ribandar and the Economic Offences Wing, Panaji respectively.
