CANACONA
Acting on complaints from the Town and Country Planning (TCP) department, Canacona police has booked offences against four persons in connection with two separate cases of hill-cutting and land-filling in Loliem-Polem and Agonda respectively.
In the first case, Canacona Police said Vinay Fal Dessai, Grade-II Draughtsmen at the TCP Department’s Canacona Dy Town Planner Office, lodged a police complaint against three persons from Polem-Loliem for carrying out illegal hill cutting at six different places in a property at Loliem sometime prior to June 11.
The TCP department has accused Anand Krishna Naik, Ratnakar Krishna Naik and Ulhas Krishna Naik, all from Polem, of carrying out illegal hill-cutting without obtaining prior permission from the Chief Town Planner (Land Use).
Canacona police registered an offence under Sections 17A and 17B of TCP act against the three violators of TCP Act and further investigation is carried out by Canacona PSI Ramdas Doifode.
In the second case, Canacona police booked a resident of Agonda on charges of illegal land-filling at a property in the village.
Canacona police stated that TCP department (Canacona) Draughtsman Grade-II, Kashish Gauns Dessai, had complained that sometime prior to November 7, the accused, Sada Purushottamot Naik Gaunkar of Agonda carried out illegal land- filling in the property at Agonda without obtaining permission from the Chief Town Planner (Land Use).
Canacona police have registered the offence Under Section 17A and 17B of TCP Act and further investigation is being carried out by Canacona PSI Rajasekhar Reddy.
