4 Covid deaths, 94 new cases recorded in State

The Health Department of Goa on Tuesday recorded the highest single day Covid victim count with four Covid related deaths being recorded in the mortality bulletin. 

The deceased persons include a 48-year-old man from Bandora, a 65-year-old woman from Colva, a 58-year-old woman from Sawantwadi and a 50-year-old man from Hyderabad who lived in Taleigao. All deaths occurred at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim. 

The total Covid victim count of the state has now touched 811. 

Meanwhile, the Health Department detected a total of 94 positive cases of the infection or six per cent  of the 1,566 samples tested for Covid on Tuesday. The total confirmed cases of the infection have now risen to 56,100 of whom 54,497 have recovered while 792 are presently.
