The Aam Aadmi Party CM candidate Advocate Amit Palekar along with other AAP leaders visited Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi, Kundaim on Sunday and congratulated Param Pujya Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swami, who has recently won the Padma Shri award for his spiritual work.
Amit Palekar said, "Sadguru Brahmeshanand Acharya Swami is a great scholar of Hinduism who studied upanishadas, vedanta shastra, yadnya-yagas, karmakaand, pourohitya, kavya shastra, naradiya kirtan shastra and many other fields. Goans are filled with pride and joy as the government has recognized Swamiji's divine work that has spread across the globe".
"Swamiji is also an avid lover of Indian classical music, and he can hold his audience transfixed with discussions on religion and spirituality for hours at a time. Goa will now called a spiritual land as well.This is the honor of Goa", he added.
AAP leaders sought blessings of Padmashree Param Pujya Sadguru Brahmeshanand Swamiji at Tapobhoomi.
Along with Palekar's family AAP Thivim candidate Uday Salkar, AAP Priol candidate Nonu Naik and AAP Sankhali candidate Manoj Ghadi Amonkar were also present.
In Goa, there have been many examples of people who were able to change their lives after visiting Brahmeshanand Swami. AAP Priol candidate Nonu Naik congratulated Swamiji for helping many people overcome addiction to alcohol.
