MARGAO

In an interesting development ahead of the planned demolition of the shed erected by Ms Global Ispaat Pvt. Ltd outside the Cuncolim Industrial estate, the Administrative Tribunal has stayed the demolition/removal of the shed in question scheduled on Thursday morning.

Even as the Demolition Squad, South Goa has mobilized the men and machinery to execute the  order passed by the Deputy Collector, Margao Ravishekar Nipanikar, the Administrative Tribunal has stayed the operation and execution of the order till the next date of hearing  in order to prevent the loss to the party that may occasion due to the demolition/removal and to prevent the appeal filed by the party rendered infructuous.

The matter will come up for hearing before the Administrative Tribunal on December 21, with the Tribunal issuing notices to the  Salcete Mamlatdar, besides the Sociedade Agricola  Dos Gauncares de Cuncolim e Veroda and others.

Sources pointed out that the huge crane was found stationed near the massive shed erected by Ms Global Ispaat, leaving locals to wondered whether the crane was mobilized by the Demolition Squad to raze down the structure.
