Three persons were arrested while hydroponic cannabis plants and seeds worth Rs 1.28 lakh were seized by an anti-narcotics squad from a flat in a residential complex at Porvorim.
According to sources, a police team raided a flat in Riviera Residency, where Vedant Deshpande of Sambhajinagar-Maharashtra and Mayur Kolhe of Nagpur-Maharashtra, were residing as tenants.
Five ganja plants planted in a bag, 16 grams of ganja and 22 grams of hydroponic ganja and ganja seeds, all worth Rs 1,28,600 were found in the flat.
Deshpande and Kolhe were arrested in this connection, while the drugs were seized by the ANC team.
During interrogation, police found that the plants and ganja were allegedly supplied by Mustafa Motiwala of Vidyanagar Colony, Porvorim.
The ANC team was on the lookout for Motiwala and arrest him on Thursday afternoon.
A Mapusa court has remanded Deshpande and Kolhe to police custody for five days, while the police will produce Motiwala in court on Friday.
