Activist Shreya Dhargalkar, who was arrested by the Cuncolim police in connection with her remarks against the Mahajans of Shree Shantadurga Kunkalinkarin Temple on Sunday evening, is convalescing at the South Goa district hospital.
District police chief, SP Sunita Sawant informed that a local court has remanded the other accused A Fatarpekar to four days police custody.
Cuncolim police station in-charge, PI Diogo Gracias, who was on leave on Sunday, has assumed office on Monday and has taken over the investigations into the case.
SP Sawant said Shreya will be produced before the court for remand after she is discharged from the hospital.
The Cuncolim police is investigating.
