Theft of gold ornaments has been reported from the Damodar Sal Temple at Margao on the busy Abade Faria road.
The theft had taken place around two months ago when the temple priest found a gold chain and a flower missing from the temple.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of police South, Sunita Sawant has told the media that the accused in the Damodar Sal Temple theft case has been arrested by the police. She said the police is in the process of recovering the gold ornaments from the accused, who has been remanded to police custody.
