BJP protecting Hathras culprits: AAP

BJP protecting Hathras culprits: AAP

PANAJI

AAP has conducted a protest along with other social groups against the brutal gang rape and murder of a 19-year-old girl that happened in UP’s Hathras.

Aam Aadmi Party Convener Rahul Mhambre questioned the BJP Govt’s intentions of providing justice to the girl.

“Entire system is used to protect the culprits, the body of the victim was burned in the midnight hours to destroy evidence. I am saying it was ‘burned’ because as per Hindu tradition cremation cannot happen after midnight hours. The parents and family members were deprived of doing the last rites, they are not allowed to speak to the media, there phones are snatched, are we living in a democratic setup?”

"BJP’s UP Govt has a habit of protecting rapists. We have seen that how they have protected Chinmayanad and Sengar. Entire country is on streets, it reminds us the horrors of Nirbhaya, 8 years have passed nothing has changed.

“BJP’s ‘Beti Bachao’ slogan was a warning. Country is witnessing a series of brutal rapes and no action from the Govt what so ever. Its been 8 days since mutilated body of an infant girl was found on Siridiao beach, nothing has happened so far, Police has absolutely no clue. CM Sawant woke up after 8 days and demanded details of the case, I am telling you, BJP has no intentions to provide safety to our women. The protest will only grow from here”, said Surel Tilve, AAP spokesperson.

A large number of people participated in the Candle light vigil seeking Justice for Hathras Victim. All have shared their concerns about rising rate of crimes against women.

In Delhi, AAP leaders and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with AAP volunteers did a huge lprotest at the Jantar Mantar on Friday. Arvind Kejriwal has asked for justice seeking free and fair probe. He also appreciated media for doing courageous reporting and exposing UP police.
