Hazard a guess over the exact cause behind Tuesday’s fire accident at the New Market and the total loss of property destroyed in the fire?
Well, the fire brigade has written to the Power Department and the Police to conduct an inquiry into the fire accident and submit a report. “We could not ascertain the exact cause behind the fire. Hence, the Fire Department has written to the Margao police and the Power Department to ascertain the cause behind the accident,” he added.
That’s not all. The total loss of property destroyed in the fire has still not been ascertained. Fire officials say the owners of the shops have informed the fire department that they will submit the estimated loss of property in a day or two.
